The role of tranexamic acid in decreasing intraoperative and postoperative blood loss in patients undergoing total hip replacement

Abstract: We investigated 60 patients undergoing Total hip arthropasty in a prospective, interventional and randomized study. Here, patients were divided alternatively into two groups of 30 patients each, in group A and group B. Group A will receive intravenous infusion of tranexamic acid at dose of 15mg/kg and same will be given 3hrs after the first dose, while in group B no drug will be given.
