Experimental evaluation of ventilated glazing performance in Hong Kong

“…According to their work, the maximum temperature of the absorptive glazing on a typical summer day was generally between 40 and 451C, or about 101C above ambient air temperature. Leal and Maldonado [15] used the ESP-r improved model with the coupled air flow network and energy balance simulation technique in their analysis. Also through a numerical model, our previous work showed that for an airconditioned office building in Hong Kong, better saving can be achieved with the use of ventilated glazing in summer, in which the outdoor air is induced as the cooling air stream [16].…”
