Abstract: Obesity is a global pandemic complex to treat due to its multifactorial pathogenesis—an unhealthy lifestyle, neuronal and hormonal mechanisms, and genetic and epigenetic factors are involved. “…Probiotics are commensal bacteria ("direct-fed microbials", DFM) that offer potential health beneficial bio-physiological effects to the host's stress response (acute, chronic, or both).
