Abstract:The low-carbon bainitic steel after a continuous cooling process was subjected to fracture toughness investigations using the J-integral approach. The research was focused on the determination of microstructural factors influencing the fracture processes considering the crystallographic units, as well as dimensions and morphology of phases. It was found that the fracture surface is characterized by complex fracture mechanisms (quasi-cleavage, transcrystalline cleavage–ductile, and ductile mode). It was found t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
