“…According to international research studies, determining glyphosate, glufosinate and their metabolites concentration has been investigated in different kinds of samples, whereas direct determination of these compounds in environmental samples has a number of difficulties such as simple structure of the compounds, few functional groups, high polarity and easily complexing with components presenting in the samples. [4][5][6] Chromatography is an useful method to determine the residual quantities of glyphosate, glufosinate and their metabolites in food and the environment. Moreover, an indirect analysis method with the help of the derivation technique has overcome problems associated with the compound structures, and 9-fluorenylmethylchloroformate (FMOC-Cl) is a derivative agent intensively utilized in liquid chromatography because this substance brings about stability of retention time when analyzing compounds.…”
