Furthermore, in a previous study by Ye (27), wherein the acceptance rate of skin grafts in patients with acute and chronic wounds of different origin was observed, 99% of the skin grafts were successfully taken in wounds at a pH of 7.4 and higher; however, no skin graft was successfully taken in wounds at a pH <7.0.
