L. CHRISTIAENS et M. RENSONNous avons synthetise un certain nombre d'acides cdtoniques ainsi que certains de leurs derives (chlorures, esters normaux et cycliques). Grlce au comportement chimique de ces acides, nous degageons une structure probable pour ces substances tautomeres. Cette structure sera Btablie avec certitude dans un travail ultdrieur par des mesures physico-chimiques realisdes sur tous les derives synthktisks ci-dessous. I. INTRODUCTION de L'etude de la tautomerie dans les acides o-cetoniques du type A a deja fait I'objet quelques etudes [I-61. R A A' C'est surtout I'ecole de M.S. Newman qui, avec notre laboratoire, s'est le plus interess6e i ce probleme. Jusqu'a present, cependant, une vue d'ensemble suffisamment complete des divers facteurs susceptibles de modifier la tautomBrie n'a pas encore ete realisee. Nous avons donc tent6 d'etudier le phenomene de faCon systematique en scindant, d'une maniere qui est peut-&re arbitraire, les diff6rents facteurs qui, nous le pensions, pouvaient influencer la tautomerie. a) Effets stkriques : A , R' et (ou) R" = -H, -CH, ou -Ph b) RPsonance : Hydrocarbirre secondaire A , R = --x naphtyl, -b naphtyl. Hydrocarbure cie base Acides cetoniques -I, 2, -2, I et -2,3 du naphtalene.* Le rendement tres faible s'explique par le fait qu'il s'agit d'un ester cyclique d'un acide mksitoylk.
