The Psychophysiological Diagnostics of the Functional State of the Athlete. Preliminary Data

Abstract: The original experimental scheme was developed to investigate athletes' functional states (FS) dynamics. The procedure allowed modeling various FS important for predicting the professional success of athletes: psychological and physiological stress, fatigue, and optimal FS (OFS). There were two main criteria for differentiation of the FS under study: efficiency rates and the psychological and physiological costs of the achieved efficiency level. Analysis of the FS-dependent psychophysiological changes showed s… Show more

“…An integrated approach would complete the intervention framework, shedding light on unresolved doubts and launching a procedure for new training. For this approach, research has found interesting insights into the technical act of shooting, showing more than satisfactory results [ 94 , 95 , 96 ].…”

“…Phenomenologically, the stress condition might appear in preference strategies that were prominent at an earlier age: primarily to support the ‘in‐group’ member even if he is wrong. The study included three groups of people solving moral dilemmas: the first group was under situational stress (stress due to the participation in the experiment, without special inducing procedures), the second group had induced stress (by getting inappropriately negative feedback when performing operator tasks, Isaychev et al ), the third group was considered to be the ‘control’ group without stress, because monitoring of their heart rates did not show any signs of stress (Znamenskaya ).…”
