Understanding a problem is as important as solving it to understand the meaning of mathematics. It is a widespread view that problem-solving skills help individuals to overcome the problems easily in their daily lives. An individual with problem-solving skills is a self-confident, creative and independent thinker. It can be explicable that the societies formed by these individuals can easily solve the problems. In this vein, this study is aimed to determine the relationship between the acquisition of problemsolving skills that play an important role in mathematics alongside two dimensions of classroom management which are time management and plan-program management. It is thought that there is a close relationship between these two dimensions; problemsolving skills. The types of problems are divided into two; routine and non-routine. The aim is to get opinions about how these problems will be taught by mathematics teachers, at what level they will be used in class and what methods they will use for them. The study was conducted by doing a content analysis of qualitative research methods. The sample group which is randomly determined from five provinces of North Cyprus is composed of mathematics teachers who teach at the 9th grade level. The data was collected through semi-structured interview forms. Content analysis technique was used in the evaluation of the obtained data. As a result, it was found out that the mathematics teachers who work in the Ministry of National Education and teach at the 9th grade, have been given importance to problem-solving skills such as, problem-solving duration and problem-solving methods in their classes. In addition, the teachers pointed out that the time given is not sufficient at schools and they could not give enough importance to plan-program activities. They also pointed out that although the annual and monthly plans specified by the Ministry, the desired variety of questions could not be provided by different methods.

Traditional Classroom Management to Virtual Classroom Management: A Study on Physical Education Teachers' Competencies

<p> </p> <p>The purpose of this study was to investigate physical education teachers' competencies in virtual classroom management. The study was designed as a cross-sectional study using quantitative research methods and included 726 physical education teachers working in different secondary schools and high schools in Turkey. The data of the study were collected using the “Teachers' Virtual Classroom Management Competence Scale”. The research found that physical education teachers were undecided about their competence in managing relationships with students in the virtual classroom, but they were competent in the dimensions of virtual classroom activities and virtual classroom management. Further research analyzed the effects of some socio-demographic variables on teachers' competencies in the transition from traditional classroom management to virtual classroom management. The analysis showed that gender and work experience had a medium effect, virtual classroom had a large effect, and school level had a weak effect on teachers' virtual classroom competencies. The educational level variable had no significant effect on teachers' virtual classroom management competencies. In conclusion, in modern classrooms where there is a shift from traditional classrooms to virtual classrooms, physical education teachers are expected to be more effective in their relationships with students in virtual classrooms.</p>

Studies conducted in the field demonstrated that students' low level of knowledge about devices and tools regarding information technologies increase their level of related anxiety (Dinçer et al [14]; Chan et al [11]; Thatcher et al [53]). Education is one of the biggest problems experienced by developing societies. Education is has an important place in individuals' lives since it allows them to prove themselves within their society and to maintain their future lives. Today, with the development of the Internet, education can be given via e-learning management systems designed on the web. E-learning is a type of education that can present information to its users via the Internet. In order to facilitate the use of e-learning systems and to make these systems more systematic, Learning Management Systems (LMSs) have appeared. LMSs are softwares that allow management of learning activities. During the application of e-learning management systems that can be designed in line with the desired curriculum, the feedback provided by students taking education via this platform play an important role in the success of the system. In this respect, the present study aimed at determining the attitudes of students attending Distance Education Theology Undergraduate Education Program at Dicle University towards e-learning. For this purpose, the five-point Likert-type scale of "Attitudes towards ICT skills and e-learning" developed by Haznedar [23] was applied to the students. The results of analysis of the data collected from the students participating in the study revealed no significant difference in relation to e-learning between the students' gender, years of computer use, weekly Internet use time, their preferences of types of education, their foreign language, their foreign language proficiency levels, and their learning motivation preferences. In the study, a significant difference was found in relation to e-learning between the participants' preferences of study methods.
