In this study, teachers' views are evaluated to determine whether there is a relationship between the humor styles of school principals and the health of an organization. The study is based on a mixed research approach with both quantitative and qualitative aspects. In the quantitative study, the teachers were asked to describe their principals' senses of humor using the “humor behavior scale” and to evaluate the organization in which they worked using the “organizational health inventory.” In the qualitative dimension, principals working in primary schools were interviewed and asked to evaluate their own sense of humor and the school's health. When the quantitative findings were examined, the regression results showed that school principals with a cynical style of humor negatively predicts organizational health, and productive social and affirmative styles of humor positively predict organizational health. In the qualitative study, the content analysis results revealed that a school administrator who uses humor effectively is capable of effectively solving problems in the school. However, it has been stated that the humor style of the school principal can have negative effects as well as positive effects. School principals are advised to recognize the teachers with whom they work and to distinguish which teachers are receptive to humor.

In this study, it is aimed to compare the ethical, transformational, paternalistic, spiritual, and instructional leadership styles of school principals. For this purpose, the research has been carried out according to the survey model. 586 teachers from Istanbul province participated in the study. A high level of a positive correlation has been found between the leadership styles of school administrators perceived by the teachers. Teachers most perceived ethical leadership style and least perceived paternalist leadership style of school administrators. While teachers' perceptions of instructional, transformational, ethical, and spiritual leadership styles differ significantly according to their gender; It does not differ significantly according to their educational status. It has been determined that the instructional, transformational, ethical, paternalist, and spiritual leadership styles of school administrators differ significantly according to the type, grade, and age variables. The instructional, transformational, paternalist and spiritual leadership styles of school principals do not differ significantly according to the seniority variable; however, it has been determined that the ethical leadership style of school administrators differed significantly according to the seniority variable. Okul müdürlerinin öğretmenler tarafından algılanan liderlik stilleri arasında pozitif yönde yüksek düzeyde anlamlı ilişki tespit edilirken; öğretmenler okul müdürlerinin en fazla etik liderlik stilini en az ise paternalist liderlik stilini sergilediğini düşünmektedir. Öğretmenlerin öğretimsel, dönüşümcü, etik ve ruhsal liderlik stilleri algıları cinsiyetlerine göre anlam farklılık gösterirken; eğitim durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. Öğretmenlerin görev yaptıkları okul/kurum türüne/kademesine ve yaşlarına göre okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel, dönüşümcü, etik, paternalist ve ruhsal liderlik stilleri anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel, dönüşümcü, paternalist ve ruhsal liderlik stilleri öğretmenlerin kıdemlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği; ancak okul müdürlerinin etik liderlik stili öğretmenlerin kıdemlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

Background: Today, societies pay attention to ethics and moral values, emphasizing that moral values should be preserved and kept alive in educational organizations. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to identify the ethical challenges of schools' principal in the Corona period. Methods: The present study was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of method. Its statistical population included educational management professors and schools' principal of West Azerbaijan Province. Sampling was done systematically through snowball technique and based on theoretical saturation criterion. Research data was collected by reviewing 21 articles related to the ethics of educational management or educational leadership in the COVID 19 period and then through semi-structured interviews (17 people) based on the model of qualitative interviews and its criteria, in an approximate. Data were categorized using thematic analysis method in the form of basic, organized and comprehensive themes. Results: The results showed that the ethical challenges of schools' principal in Corona period as a comprehensive theme included 98 basic themes. According to the classification of basic themes, 7 organizing themes, including professional ethics, social-communicative ethics, individual ethics, technical-educational ethics, spiritual ethics, behavioral ethics, and decision-making ethics were obtained. Conclusion:The results showed that the closure of schools under COVID exacerbated 19 ethical problems in the education policies and practices, creating moral challenges in them. In this regard, principals are expected to use their knowledge and ethical skills to improve their scientific knowledge to address the problem of students at school during the Corona epidemic.
