The current study explores the factors that influence the number of tourists entering Uzbekistan, using dynamic panel estimation techniques and an augmented gravity model to provide a thorough analysis. To developing successful tourist strategies and policies, such an investigation is essential given the changing global scene, particularly in the aftermath of the epidemic. The primary countries of origin for Uzbekistan were the focus of the study, for which the study gathers data between 2014 and 2022. We considered several variables, including per capita income and currency rates, to comprehend their impact on tourism. The application of dynamic panel estimate enables a comprehensive examination of the variables influencing both stable and fluctuating tourism trends. The results of our study show how social and economic factors have interacted to shape Uzbekistan's tourism sector. These results emphasize the necessity of educated and flexible methods to adapt to the post-pandemic global environment, which is critical for stakeholders and policymakers in the tourism industry.

Utilizing a Vector Autoregressive (VAR) model, the present study investigates the multifaceted relation between domestic tourism and the inflation rate in Uzbekistan. By applying annual inflation rates and monthly-adjusted data on the number of domestic tourists from January 2016 to September 2023, this study examines whether an upsurge in tourism activity influences inflation or if an increase in inflation impedes domestic tourism. Time series analysis, ACF and PACF plots, and unit root tests are employed as methodological approaches to validate stationarity in the tourism data and stationarity at first difference in the inflation data, respectively. While in the beginning, Johansen tests for cointegration assert that two variables are co-integrated at first, but later they are not. The outcomes deriving from the VAR model hint at the existence of a strong, unidirectional connection between the incoming tourists and subsequent inflation where the effects show up at 1st lag. This discovery put a spotlight on the fact that domestic tourism would increase due to inflation-bound measures. Accordingly, these research enable the grasp of the economic dynamics between inflation and tourism which are important pieces of information which can be useful for the government officials of Uzbekistan in their efforts to sustain stable economy and promoting domestic tourism at the same time.

The halal tourism sector is developing in a positive direction every year. Muslim-friendly vacations are a subset of the halal market which has an essential influence on Islamic economic development. This study aims to determine the extent of research developments related to a systematic literature review of halal certification targets in halal tourism. This research reveals the development of halal label studies on halal tourism, the target of halal certification in halal tourism, and discussions on future research development. This qualitative research uses a systematic literature review method, adopting the PRISMA system to screen articles that become research material. From 23 halal label research articles on halal tourism indexed by the Scopus database, this study selects all articles and leaves 18 as the main research material. The findings of this study show the dominance of authors from Indonesia and the development trend of publication of halal label studies on tourism in 2022. The results showed that Muslim tourists, in determining tourist destinations, pay attention to the availability of halal attributes such as halal food and hotels. This study has implications for the position of the halal label in halal tourism, which is increasingly important and has become a reference for the development of the halal industry.
