The purpose of this study was to find out the validity, practicality, and potential effect of the developed interactive multimedia for teaching descriptive texts based on Palembang local culture. With Research and Development (R&D) study, this research procedure was adapted from ADDIE model consisted of five phases, i.e. analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In evaluation phase, formative evaluation which consisted of self-evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, small group evaluation, and field test. Formative evaluation was conducted to see the validity, practicality, and potential effect of the product. Validity was evaluated in expert review phase for its content, construct, and media. Based on experts review the result showed that the average score of all aspects of the developed product was 3.58 which can be categorized as very highly valid. The practicality was evaluated in one to one evaluation and small group evaluation. The result showed that the product was very highly practical since the average score in both phases were 3.69 and 3.74 respectively. The potential effect was evaluated in the field test. The product also had very high potential effect after being tried out in the field test as 100 % of the students achieved the minimum mastery criterion which was 75. In conclusion, the developed product was potentially effective to be applied for the tenth grade students.Keywords: development research; interactive multimedia; descriptive texts; Palembang local culture

<span>Lesson study is a professional development program among teachers. It reciprocates teachers’ development to students’ outcomes. It is also an act of leveraging classroom practices, enriching teachers’ content knowledge, and process skills and beliefs. This study explored the experiences of a group of science secondary school teachers that implemented the lesson study in their classes. Qualitative data were gathered from the informants’ interview during the implementation of the lesson study. Data were processed through document trail among the informants to ascertain the veracity of the transcribed responses, reflections, and observations. Thematic analysis revealed five themes on the experiences of the teachers in implementing the Lesson Study: developing a culture of oneness, crafting teachers’ competence through synergism, boosting teachers’ morale and confidence, refining the quality of the research lesson, and scheming avenues for critical thinking. It is, therefore, suggested that lesson study be implemented by all teachers across all subject-areas in the division and introduced among pre-service teachers to further discover its efficacy towards teachers’ development and students’ outcomes. Furthermore, it is strongly suggested that knowledgeable others be involved in the implementation of the lesson study as their presence were found significant in ensuring its success as most of the teachers are not specialized in the field that they are teaching.</span>

The 4.0 industrial revolution brought significant changes to the practical and efficient modern human life through the acceleration of online-based digital technology. This condition must be responded quickly by the education system as one of the critical elements in society. This study aims to suggest the development of online-based social studies lesson plan models as learning innovations in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The research method used comparative descriptive with observation, interviews, and literature study of data collection techniques. The results showed that the development of online lesson plan models for social studies learning tools was carried out by teachers to answer the needs of an efficient future learning system. The model must pay attention to the availability of technology, infrastructure, and qualified human resources. Developing achievement indicators, materials, models, methods, media, and learning evaluations that contain aspects of knowledge, attitudes, skills in utilizing digital devices to support the online lesson plan progress. Constraints faced are a lack of human resources' ability to operate online devices, limited infrastructure, and difficulties in adjusting learning devices that accommodate current curriculum goals. It concluded that online-based learning planning models implemented with the support of government, schools, and teacher's abilities.
