The Performance of Different AgTiO2 Loading into Poly(3-Nitrothiophene) for Efficient Adsorption of Hazardous Brilliant Green and Crystal Violet Dyes

Abstract: The in-situ polymerization technology was used to successfully produce nanostructured binary nanocomposites (NCs) made from a poly (3-nitrothiophen) matrix (P3NT) that were loaded effectively with nanoparticles (NPs) of silver titanium dioxide (AgTiO2), of varying percentages (10%, 20%, and 30%). A uniform coating of P3NT covers the AgTiO2 NPs. Various methods were performed to confirm the fabrication of the binary P3NT/AgTiO2 NCs adsorbents, such as FTIR, XRD, SEM, and EDX. Both dyes (brilliant green (B.G.) a… Show more

“…6–8 Among these methods, adsorption as a widely available and highly efficiency method is promising for the treatment of wastewater, and it is often used to eliminate different dyes from water. 9–11 Many adsorbents, including activated carbon, silica, metal oxides, and polymer resins, have been developed. 12–16 However, most of the prepared materials suffer from lower adsorption efficiencies and leaching of the active species.…”

“…For many decades, adsorption process has been the most famous and most used wastewater treatment technique for removing aqueous pollutants 33 – 35 . Recently, the removal of CR 36 , 37 , BG 38 , 39 , MB 40 , 41 , and MR 42 , 43 from colored aqueous solution was conducted successfully. PA-12 is new in the area of environmental science.…”
