The new Micro‐set for Adsorptive Stripping Voltammetric Simultaneous Determination of Nickel and Cobalt Traces in Aqueous Media

Abstract: This article the first reports on a fabrication and application of an electrochemical three electrode micro‐set containing: in situ plated lead film on carbon fiber working microelectrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode and a platinum wire counter electrode placed in one casing for simultaneous Ni(II) and Co(II) traces determination by square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SW AdSV). Ni(II) and Co(II) in forms of their complexes with nioxime were accumulated on the lead film plated on a carbon fibers micro… Show more

“…Solid metallic electrodes are an useful voltammetric tool as there is no need to add ions of a given metal to the supporting electrolyte in order to an electrochemical film plating during their application . A continuation of our research are investigations on miniaturization of the proposed sensors and construction of solid metal microelectrodes for which preparation a very small amounts of electrode material are necessary.…”

“…It is used with Adsorptive Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry [ 34 , 35 , 36 ] and Adsorptive Cathodic Square-Wave Stripping Voltammetry, producing dynamic ranges for measurement of 3–12 µg/kg [ 37 ], 5–175 µg/kg [ 38 ], and 5.9–35.2 µg/kg [ 39 ]. Square Wave Adsorptive Stripping Voltammetry has also been used for nickel detection with nioxime (producing a dynamic range of 0.11–0.58 µg/kg [ 40 ]), and with nioxime and hemisodium salt of N-[2-hydroxyethyl] and piperazine-N′-[2-ethanesulfonic acid] [ 41 ]. DNAzyme-CdSe nanocomposite has been used as a bioreceptor by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry, obtaining a dynamic range of 1.173 µg/kg–11.73 mg/kg and a low limit of detection (6.67 nM) [ 42 ].…”
