The neurotoxicity of nanoparticles: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the global scientific output of neurotoxicity of nanoparticles (NPs) and explore their hot spots and research trends. Articles about the neurotoxicity of NPs between 2008 and 2017 were taken from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The VOSviewer was used to analyze annual publications, countries/institutions, funding agencies, research objects, major journals, and international cooperation. The reference co-citation map and keywords were used to analyze the mechan… Show more

“…Using Web of Science Core Collection as mentioned in the original paper (Su et al, 2018), TS ¼ ((NPs* OR Nanomaterial* OR Nanocrystals* OR nano*) AND (Neurotoxicity* OR Poisoning, Nervous System*)) resulted in the database that includes 807 documents from 2008 to 2017. These results show a huge difference from the results in the original paper (Su et al, 2018).…”

“…Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of SCI-EXPANDED's, SSCI's, and A&HCI's rigorous journal selection process (http://wokinfo.com/products_tools/multidisci plinary/esci/). Web of Science Core Collection: Chemical Indexes as well as SSCI, A&HCI, CPCI-S, CPCI-SSH, BKCI-S, and BKCI-SSH are inappropriate for "The neurotoxicity of nanoparticles: A bibliometric analysis" (Su et al, 2018).…”
