The Multi-Field-Coupled Model and Optimization of Absorbing Material's Position and Size of Electronic Equipments

Abstract: There are three fields in electronic equipment such as structure deformation (S), temperature (T), and electromagnetic (EM) fields. Both deformation and temperature will affect the electromagnetic shielding performance of the equipment considerably, particularly in the case of enclosure with small volume and high packaging density. Because the position of electronic device and the shape of outlet will be changed with structural deformation, there must be therefore an adherent relationship among three fields. T… Show more

“…The electromagnetic performance of membrane antennas is influenced by the on-orbit environment, which is a light-electromagnetic-thermal-structural coupling fields. Multiphysics analysis of antennas is mostly carried out by numerical methods [117][118][119][120][121] and usually focuses on the influence caused by structural deformation on the radiation pattern. Zhang et al [122] studied the coupling effect between electromagnetic and structural field for a 14 m parabolic membrane antenna.…”

“…Investigations on multi-physical issues of antennas are mainly conducted by numerical simulations [24][25][26][27][28], and usually the surface distortion influence on radiation characteristics is the main concern. Zhang et al [29] studied the microwave pressure on a parabolic antenna and the influence of shape distortion on the radiation pattern.…”

“…It causes the gain loss, sidelobe level upgrade, and inaccurate beam pointing [5,6], thus restricting the development of high-performance array antennas. Therefore, the multifield coupling is a crucial problem that needs to be solved [7].…”
