“…Although the exact phylogenetic relationships of Fauveliopsidae are still being debated, it appears more or less settled that Fauveliopsidae are either sister to Flabelligeridae or are at least somehow closely related to them based on both morphological and molecular evidence (Rouse & Pleijel 2001, 2003; Salazar‐Vallejo et al 2008; Struck et al 2008; but see Zhadan & Atroshchenko 2010). Fauveliopsis was included in Flabelligeridae until Hartman (1971) erected the separate taxon Fauveliopsidae, now comprising Fauveliopsis and Laubieriopsis .…”
