Decision-makers and policymakers' perspectives of school administrators have significant changes as the responsibility and increasing influence of the school administrator in fulfilling their functions following the school's objectives became more evident. Therefore, it is essential to review the school administrators' training, selection, and appointment policies in globalization and change. This study aims to review the policies of choosing, training, and assigning school administrators under the influence of globalization and change. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with 15 school administrators. The obtained data were analyzed using a qualitative analysis program. The criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposive sampling methods, was preferred in the determination of the study group. The research study group consists of 15 education administrators working in Istanbul's Kartal, Maltepe, and Sultanbeyli districts in the 2021-2022 academic year. During the data collection process, face-to-face interviews were conducted with the participants. According to the research data, the themes and sub-themes created by the opinions of the education administrators about the processes of selection, training, and appointment of education administrators in Turkey are included. The most emphasized issue by the participants in this regard was the complexity and inadequacy experienced in educational administration policies. According to the findings, it has been stated that the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) has made frequent changes in recent years, and this situation has created confusion in education. The Relationship Between Participation in Administrative Decisions and School Effectiveness: An Empirical Study on Teachers

The aim of this research is to reveal the effect of teachers' participation in administrative decisions and their willingness to participate in decisions on school effectiveness. Predictive survey model was used in the study. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 283 teachers working in Istanbul's Sultanbeyli, Pendik, Maltepe and Kartal districts formed the research sample. Simple random sampling was used when selecting the research sample. According to the results of the research, teachers' willingness to participate in administrative decisions is significantly higher than their level of participation in decisions. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the level of participation in decisions, willingness to participate and school effectiveness. In addition, the level of participation in decisions and willingness to participate partially predicts school effectiveness. As teachers' level of participation and willingness to participate in decisions increases, school effectiveness increases.

The Antecedents and Outcomes of Job Stress Experienced by School Administrators and Strategies for Coping with Stress

This study aims to determine the antecedents, consequences, and coping strategies of job stress among school administrators. A exploratory sequential design was used in the study. Interviews were conducted with 19 administrators using a semi-structured interview form to collect qualitative data. Quantitative data was collected using the Marmara Job Stress Scale. The scale was applied to 439 school administrators, and a t-test was used to determine if there were significant differences in the antecedents, consequences, and coping strategies of job stress. As a result of the qualitative interviews, it was found that the antecedents that cause most stress among school administrators are "responsibility" and "difficulty with colleagues, loneliness". As a result of the qualitative interviews, it was found that as a result of job stress, the administrators "do not have time for their families" and "are offensive to the business environment". According to qualitative data, school administrators were found to use individual coping strategies to manage job stress. The qualitative and quantitative results were interpreted together at the end of the study. As a result of the research, it is suggested that educational environments and legislation should be regulated according to the antecedents of work stress, which have a high effect on school administrators.
