The Xe136+Pt198 reaction: A test of models of multi-nucleon transfer reactions

Abstract: The yields of 42 projectile-like fragments (PLFs) and fission fragments and 36 targetlike fragments (TLFs) were measured using off-line γ-ray spectroscopy in a thin target experiment involving the 136 Xe + 198 Pt reaction. The center of target beam energy was 760.5 MeV(E c.m. = 450 MeV). The reported yields are compared with those from previous measurements for this reaction and with predictions of the GRAZING, di-nuclear systems (DNS) and Improved Quantum Molecular Dynamics (ImQMD)models. The yields of the TL… Show more

“…The mean values of various quantities are determined directly from TDHF calculations. Table I provides, for the collision of 136 Xe + 208 Pb system at E c.m. = 514 MeV, a list of the initial and final values of the mass numbers and proton numbers of projectile-like and target-like fragments, the initial and final angular momentum, the T KE and E * , as well as the scattering angles in the center of mass and laboratory frame over the angular momentum range (l min = 100, l max = 280) at ∆l = 20 intervals.…”

“…3 of Ref. [32], we refer to the line in the (N, Z) plane which joins the position of 136 Xe with the position of 208 Pb as the iso-scalar path, and the line perpendicular to the isoscalar path is referred to as the iso-vector path. In the previ-TABLE I.…”
