The management correlation between metabolic index, cardiovascular health, and diabetes combined with cardiovascular disease

Abstract: BackgroundCardiovascular disease (CVD) has become a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Although there is also evidence that multifactorial interventions to control blood glucose, blood pressure, and lipid profiles can reduce macrovascular complications and mortality in patients with T2DM, the link between these risk factors has not been established.MethodsOn 10 December 2018, 1,920 people in four cities in Anhui Province were included. Latent category analy… Show more

“… 6 As an alternative to the conventional gold standard hyperinsulinemic‐euglycemic clamp method, the TyG index was introduced as a more simple and cost‐effective means of IR with high sensitivity (96.5%) and specificity (85%). 14 Currently, the TyG index has been extensively explored in diverse medical issues, such as cardiovascular disease, 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 arterial stiffness progression, 10 diabetic nephropathy, 11 new‐onset hypertension, 15 cardiometabolic diseases, 16 DM, 17 , 18 , 19 intensity care unit mortality, 20 obesity, 21 and hearing impairment. 22 However, there are relative few reports about TyG index and hypertensive nephropathy.…”

“…In this context, the triglyceride glucose (TyG) index has emerged as a non‐invasive and cost‐effective alternative indicator to assess IR. 5 Recent studies have shown that an elevated TyG index is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 arterial stiffness progression, 10 and diabetic nephropathy. 11 However, evidence supporting the association between the TyG index and hypertension‐induced renal injury remains limited.…”

“…Recent research has also revealed that the TyG-BMI index is an independent risk factor for multivessel coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CAD) in addition to being highly linked with CAD severity 20 . In individuals with coronary heart disease, The TyG-BMI index could be linked to cardiovascular incidents 21 . The effect of the TyG-BMI index on the prognosis of patients with STEMI has, however, received less attention in research.…”

“…Known from the early events of inflammation and inflammatory core formation, VSMCs respond to inflammation by producing collagen and then forming a fibrous cap against plaque rupture and thrombosis [ 8 , 9 ]. Macrovascular complications, including AS, are major causes of morbidity and mortality in T2DM patients [ 10 ]. Although knowledge of the pathology of AS and exploration of abundantly regulatory genes over the past decades, the outcome of DM-associated AS remains unsatisfactory.…”
