Abstract: Arteriosclerosis obliterans (ASO) is a limb manifestation of large vessel atherosclerosis. Phenotype switching of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) occurs in the course of the pathological process. The underlying mechanism of SMCs proliferation remains unclear.
