The Limitations of Model Systems in Prostatic Cancer

Abstract: The quest for an ideal model useful for designing treatment strategies as well as providing biological information is not a realistic goal. A multitude of models are required to answer a multiplicity of questions. However, given the currently available treatment modalities much can be accomplished directly in man without resorting to preclinical models.
