Abstract: In this article the goal was the examination of the factorial structure of a short, Hungarian version of Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (ZTPI; Zimbardo and Boyd Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 77 (6), [1271][1272][1273][1274][1275][1276][1277][1278][1279][1280][1281][1282][1283][1284][1285][1286][1287][1288] 1999) in a sample of 1370 participants, comparing alternative factor structures through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). “…Previous attempts have been made to shorten the ZTPI-inventory. For instance, 25-item (Wakefield et al, 2010), 20-item (Przepiorka et al, 2016), 18-item (Košťál et al, 2015), 17-item (Orosz et al, 2017) and 15-item (Košťál et al, 2015;McKay et al, 2014;Zhang et al, 2013) versions have been suggested. Although they were found to be psychometrically sound in the initial research reports, findings have been difficult to replicate (McKay et al, 2014(McKay et al, , 2015Worrell et al, 2018).…”

“…We used Orosz, Dombi, Tóth-Király, and Roland-Lévy's (2017) 17-item time perspective scale to measure future time perspective. This brief instrument was modified from the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory ( Zimbardo & Boyd, 1999 ) with psychometric validation and future time orientation were assessed with four items.…”

“…Setting up an efficient online email system for sourcing and recruiting research participants is the most appropriate way when the authors can quickly get access to lists of potential participants and the targeted participants in such lists already have an affiliation with an institution or sector [132]. E-mails were initially sent to only a portion of the people on the lists of potential participants.…”
