Social media users in Indonesia are increasing today. Young adults aged 18 to 24 years old dominate around 39% of active Instagram users in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to understand the way couples use Instagram in developing their romantic relationships and in reducing their uncertainty at the initiating stage of relationship development. The method used in this research was qualitative with a phenomenological research approach. The researchers interviewed two romantic couples, young adults who were active Instagram users - they log in daily and actively engage in the platform. This study has shown that Instagram has replaced Facebook as the 1st information seeking tool and as the main platform for doing initial approach before face-to-face interaction in young adults. The tangible difference lies in how the stranger gets acquittanced on Instagram at the initiating stage and how they show off their affection of ‘in relationship’ at the bonding stage. Further, the result has indicated that Instagram is the most common means of passive uncertainty reduction strategy at the initiating stage of relationship development, followed by interactive strategy and last is active strategy.

The West Kalimantan Children's Forum exists as a means for girls to express their opinions and contribute more to the full fulfilment of children's rights. The historical background of past ethnic conflicts makes the reconciliation of ethnic conflicts in West Kalimantan continue to this day. Indirectly the participation of children, especially girls, is very calculated for establishing harmony between ethnicities and all groups of people in West Kalimantan. The study is aimed to the initial review of phenomenological studies in looking at the critical awareness process through participatory intercultural communication processes carried out by female leaders who are children of Dayak and Madurese ethnicity at the West Kalimantan Children's Forum. This research uses a qualitative method drawn from a phenomenological perspective so that the process of individual experience becomes very important as a witness to the journey of reconciliation. The theory of Liberation Education from the perspective of Paulo Freire is used to see how far the process of critical awareness through participatory intercultural communication processes can encourage individuals to proceed in reconciliation for the sake of inter-ethnic harmony through participation as a member of the West Kalimantan Children's Forum. The subject of this research involved girls as members of the Children's Forum in the form of in-depth interviews to see to what extent the public sphere provides an opportunity to process together reconciliation which is still ongoing today. This study explains that the achievement of critical awareness in girls' participation in conflict reconciliation still has to go through several stages of awareness, such as magical and naive. The process of openness, learning, and accepting differences, will make girls' leadership reach the highest critical awareness and be able to participate fully in development that involves quality young people.

The presence of the development of communication and information technology has also resulted in changes in all dimensions of human life, including of social interaction that have turned into digital interactions. Social media has also become a public sphere for people to express all expressions, opinions, ideas and feelings, including conveying hate speech. In Indonesia, there are many forms of hate speech, one of which leads to issues of racism, religious and state sentiment. This study tries to map the issue of hate speech that has relations between religion and the state on social media. This study is a descriptive qualitative study by taking data from Social Media Analysts using a query for hate speech words that have a relationship between religion and the state that are popular in Indonesia, namely the words Kadrun and Cebong. The results show that there are around 52,290 thousand mentions containing words of hate speech using the word kadrun and 25,290 thousand mentions of hate speech using the word cebong with the underlying issues involved. AbstrakHadirnya perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi turut mengakibatkan adanya perubahan dalam segala dimensi kehidupan manusia termasuk dalam dimensi interaksi sosial yang berubah menjadi interaksi digital. Media sosial pun menjadi ruang baru bagi masyarakat dalam menyampaikan segala ekspresi, pendapat, gagasan serta perasaannya termasuk dalam menyampaikan ujaran yang berisi kebencian. Di Indonesia ada banyak sekali bentuk ujaran kebencian yang salah satunya mengarah pada isu rasisme, sentimen agama dan negara. Penelitian ini coba memetakan isu ujaran kebencian yang memiliki relasi agama dan negara yang ada dimedia sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengambil data dari Social Media Analyst menggunakan query kata ujaran kebencian yang memiliki relasi antara agama dan negara yang populer di Indoensia yaitu kata Kadrun dan Cebong. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sekitar 52.290 ribu mentions yang berisi kata-kata ujaran kebencian menggunakan kata kadrun dan 25.290 ribu mentions ujaran kebencian menggunakan kata cebong dengan isu-isu yang ikut serta melatar belakanginya.
