“…En la presente investigación se discuten los factores lingüísticos y extralingüísticos que condicionan el deslizamiento de los hiatos en el español de la Ciudad de México bajo la Teoría de la Optimidad. Se han propuesto varias hipótesis sobre el condicionamiento del deslizamiento de hiatos a diptongos: (i) fonético (Chitorán & Hualde 2007); (ii) estructural (Martínez-Paricio 2010;2010b;2013); (iii) funcional (=frecuencia) (López Escobedo 2004); y (iv) social (Vuskovich 2006).
