The interpretation of laser sensing measurements for blast furnace operations and control

Abstract: Several laser-based sensors for use on blast furnaces have been developed and implemented, including a raceway sensor, burden level sensor (single point) and burden surface profiler. These sensors are based on the time-of-flight technique and give high levels of accuracy in all applications.
