“…Monacolin K concentration in the supernatant was determined by HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography). Since the concentration of extracted monacolin K was low (0.08 μg/ml), we tried to improve monacolin K solubilization with different solvents (i.e., ethanol and methanol), following the indications provided by the work of Singgih and colleagues ( Singgih et al, 2014 ).
