The motivation of learners to learn the Qur'an in this day and age is very low, learners at the time to learn the Qur'an choose television activities, play games and others, therefore motivation from parents is needed to minimize the activities of learners who are less useful. Previous studies show that external factors affect Islamic children's development and ability to read the Quran. Therefore, this study aimed to determine how parenting techniques and motivation influence children's ability to read the Quran. A quantitative approach with a sample population of 100 persons was used, while data was collected through questionnaires and examining the existing documents. The results showed that 1) Islamic parenting has a 78% contribution to the children's ability to read the Quran, 2) the motivation by parents affect the children's ability by 1.5%, 3) the combination of parent motivation and parenting techniques accounts for 79.5% of the effect, and 4) parenting style and motivation from parents simultaneously influence children's ability. Based on the description of existing data it can be concluded that parents have a fundamental role in providing motivation for learners to learn the Qur'an.

Vitamin D receptors are widely expressed in brain tissue, including in the limbic system that plays a role in children's mental and emotional development. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between 25-(OH)-D level and children's mental-emotional development during their first 1000 days of life. A cross-sectional study was conducted on children aged ≤2 years old in Waled and Sukabumi regions using secondary data from previous cohort investigations entitled "The Role of Vitamin D in Efforts to Reduce Maternal and Infant mortality". The measurement of 25-(OH)-D concentration and assessment of the mental-emotional development were performed using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional (ASQ-SE) questionnaire. Other child and maternal characteristics, and several laboratory results, were also obtained. Statistical analyses were performed using the Spearman rank, Pearson correlation test, and multivariate linear regression analysis. A total of ninety-two children were included, and the median vitamin D level of the population was 20.17 ng/mL (IQR 4.43–49.97). The correlation analysis showed that no significant relationship between children's mental-emotional scores and the parameters tested, including the concentration of 25-(OH)-D (correlation coefficient 0.08; p=0.446). There was no relationship between the vitamin D concentration and mental-emotional development. Based on these results, it is concluded that there is no correlation between 25-(OH)-D concentration and children’s mental-emotional development during the first 1000 days of life. However, further investigations are recommended to eliminate various confounding factors.

Masalah penelitian ini yakni BagaImana kecenderungan gaya pengasuhan orang tua pada anak usia 4-5 di kecamatan Loura? Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan gaya pengasuhan orang tua pada anak usia 4-5 di kecamatan Loura. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian difokuskan pada dua desa di kecamatan Loura yakni Desa Karuni dan Desa Ramadana. Responden atau orang tua sebanyak 20 orang dengan latar pekerjaan orang tua sebagai petani. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Instrumen wawancara berjumlah 15 item yang memuat pertanyaan dengan jawaban Ya dan Tidak yang disertai penjelasan dengan alasannya. Data dianalis dengan mentabulasi jawaban responden yang memilih Ya dan Tidak, memberi kode untuk mendapatkan kecenderungan pola asuh orang tua. Hasil penelitian pola asuh orang tua kecenderungannya dipengaruhi dengan gaya otoritatif atau demokratis dengan jawaban orang tua “Ya” sebanyak 94%, gaya otoriter sebanyak 54% dan gaya Permisif sebanyak 38 %.
