Abstract: Öz: Fagaceae familyasının Castanea cinsine ait olan Castanea sativa Mill, yüz yıllardır tüketilen kestane meyvesidir. Besin içeriği bakımından zengin olan kestane meyvesinin antimikrobiyal, antibakteriyel, antifungal, antienflamatuar, antikardiyovasküler ve antispazmodik özellikleri bulunmaktadır.
