Abstract: Glutathione peroxidases (GPXs) are major family of the reactive oxygen species (ROs) scavenging enzymes. Recently, database analysis of the Arabidopsis genome revealed a new open-reading frame, thus increasing the total number of atGPX gene family to eight (atGPX1-8).
