This research is an evaluative study to evaluate thematic learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in elementary schools based on the components of context, input, process and product. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, parents, and students. The data collection of this research was done by interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative analysis. The results of the study indicate that the context in thematic learning is carried out so that students can master and develop various subject competencies in one particular theme. The thematic learning input component during the pandemic is applied on the basis of a simplified national curriculum by selecting essential competencies. Teachers, students, and parents collaborate in the success of thematic learning. The learning process is carried out synchronously and asynchronously. Reading is useful for gaining understanding, knowledge, and information. This study aimed to determine the effect of using photo comics media on reading interest and learning outcomes in elementary social studies subjects. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a Non-equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subject of this study is elementary students at the fifth grade level. Data obtained through the implementation of direct learning to school by assessment using questionnaires and tests. Analysis of the data using the t-test. The results showed that the use of photo comics media has a significant positive effect on reading interest and student learning outcomes. This was evidenced after a positive change in asking students to read after being treated with photo comics media. In addition, student learning outcomes are satisfactory after integrating photo comic media in learning activities. Keywords: learning outcomes, photo comics, reading interest, social studies;

This study aims to describe and compare the competency and performance of productive teachers at Public Vocational High Schools in Kendari City. This research is a comparative descriptive quantitative study with descriptive statistical analysis and Kruskal-Wallis analysis for the comparative test. The number of samples was as many as 123 people who were determined using a purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria. The results of the study showed that there is no significant difference in the average competency of teachers based on certification, while there is a significant difference in the average performance of teachers based on certification, where teachers who have been certified through the PPG program have the highest average. The group of teachers who had been certified through the PLPG program had the second-highest average rank, while productive teachers who had not been certified had the lowest average competency. Furthermore, there is no significant difference in the average competency and performance of teachers based on tenure categories. Teachers with a working tenure of 0 to 15 years have a higher average performance than teachers with a working tenure of 16 to 25 years. Teachers with a working tenure of 26 to 40 years have the highest average performance.
