This study aims to improve the quality of learning by applying Edmodo's application at biodiversity class material of class 10 students in increasing student learning interest during Covid-19 period. Based on observations at SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi province, Indonesia it was known that students' interest in learning biology was still low. This was due to the lack of availability of existing facilities and the learning process that is still through lectures and questions and answers. Students were less involved in exploring information about biological concepts causing low student interest in learning. The method used was Classroom Action Research. The research procedure was in the form of a cycle to know the improvement of student interest. Each cycle consists of four stages, including Planning, Acting, Observation, and Reflection. Data Collection Techniques was conducted through Questionnaire, Observation, and Documentation. This data collection used an instrument in the form of an Online Learning Interest Questionnaire and Observation Sheet conducted online. This study showed that the results of observations of student interest in online learning obtained in cycle II received criteria of very high at 96%. While the results of student interest in online learning questionnaire obtained with high criteria that was 76.74%. Based on the research done, it can be concluded that the application of Edmodo media in online learning increases student interest in biodiversity material in science class X-2 SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi, Indonesia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan model e-learning menggunakan Edmodo dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tindakan dilakukan dalam 3 siklus dengan total 10 pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 orang siswa kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 2 Tambun Selatan dari setiap kategori kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar dari keenam subjek penelitian sehingga pembelajaran matematika berbantuan Edmodo mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Nilai rata-rata keenam subjek dan persentase ketuntasan belajar yang terus meningkat dari siklus I hingga siklus III dengan persentase tiap butir indikator pemecahan masalah dari siklus I hingga siklus III adalah sebagai berikut: (a) kemampuan memahami masalah meningkat dari 79,17% menjadi 88,89%, (b) kemampuan memilih strategi pemecahan masalah yang tepat meningkat dari 77,08% menjadi 97,22%, (c) menyelesaikan masalah dengan menerapkan strategi yang telah ditentukan meningkat dari 66,67% menjadi 86,11%, (d) verifikasi dan interpretasi hasil meningkat dari 66,67% menjadi 77,78%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan Edmodo efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

This literature review aimed to describe the opportunities and challenges of integrating the Learning Management System (LMS) in mathematics learning, especially in terms of the non-technical aspects. Because many LMS platforms which can be integrated into learning process, this review only discusses the three LMS platforms which are common, namely Moodle, Edmodo, and Schoology. This review was conducted with the method as proposed by Templier and Paré (2015), in which the literature materials consisted of journal articles, proceedings, and official websites of LMS. The results of this review showed that integrating the LMS in mathematics learning indicated opportunities in terms of the positive impact which can be obtained from integrating the LMS. On the other hand, the identified challenges were about how mathematics content or materials were organized through integrating the LMS, providing feedback, and maximizing the online discussion facility provided by LMS. Therefore, to obtain the positive impact from integrating the LMS into mathematics learning, teachers should pay attention to these three challenges.
