“…Heselmans A. et al (2012) [ 19 ] used the UTAUT to confirm the factors that influenced the usage of EMRs among family physicians and reported that while PU, FC, and general satisfaction were correlated with the intention to use, PEOU and SI exhibited weak correlations with the intention to use. Other previous studies have analyzed users’ intentions to use new technologies, such as HIS [ 20 ], Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) [ 21 ], online information systems [ 22 ], remote medical programs [ 23 ], remote rehabilitation services [ 24 ], robotic operations by surgeons [ 25 ], and online health information [ 26 ].…”

“…This model has been used to explain technology acceptance in diverse contexts, [7][8][9] and in health care, it has been applied to examine the adoption and acceptance of HIT, including patient portals. [10][11][12][13][14] Notably, this model has not yet been used to study inpatient portals, but considering inpatient portal adoption and acceptance using TAM can improve our understanding of the tool and how to promote its use.…”
