Objetivo: analisar, por meio de uma revisão integrativa, os achados da literatura sobre os impactos da infecção por SARS-CoV-2 na gravidez. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo descritivo, caracterizado como revisão integrativa da literatura. Estabeleceu-se como questão norteadora do estudo: quais os impactos da COVID-19 na gravidez? Para isso, foram consultadas as bases de dados PubMed, MedLine, Lilacs e Scielo. Resultados: os principais impactos da COVID-19 na gravidez encontrados foram: evolução clínica grave da população de gestantes em relação as mulheres não gestantes; o desenvolvimento de “tempestade de citocinas”; achados de má perfusão materna e/ou fetal; a deposição de fibrina e intenso recrutamento de infiltrados inflamatórios; maiores períodos de internação e desfechos clínicos mais graves; a maior admissão em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva, necessidade de ventilação mecânica, aumento das taxas de cesariana e partos prematuros; desenvolvimento de depressão, ansiedade e problemas emocionais durante e após a gravidez. Ademais, foram relatados declínio no nível de atividade física, restrição do ciclo social, o isolamento levou a sentimentos de angústia e preocupações com o curso da doença e o medo da morte. Considerações Finais: o impacto da COVID-19 observado na gravidez vai além do fenômeno biológico da doença, envolvendo também o estado psicológico e emocional das gestantes. Nesse sentido, o desenvolvimento de mais estudos associados são essenciais para desvendar o dinamismo da doença na população materna, contribuindo para promover intervenções no futuro.
