Purpose of the study: To describe the motivation of Pre Service English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teachers to Become Teachers in Turkey, to determine the effect of gender on the motivation of pre-service EFL teachers to become teachers and to find out the influence of the community on a pre-service EFL teacher's decision to become a teacher
Methodology: This study was conducted according to a mixed research method. The researcher analyzed the Quantitative data with the SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). In the SPSS program, the researcher created three tables, which are the answer to research questions. The researcher analyzed qualitative data by Computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS) Quirkos
Main Findings: Participants were very excited to become English teachers because they were going to become English teachers; furthermore, during the interview, all participants stated that society influenced their choice of profession. In addition, according to the quantitative data, it appears that the participants were motivated by 9 factors to choose teaching English as a career choice.
Novelty/Originality of this study: This study was conducted in one of the state universities in Turkey participant number was limited for this study. Also, this study was conducted in a short time. Due to the limitations, this study’s findings and conclusions can’t be generalized. More detailed and long-lasting studies should be carried out to understand the motivations of pre-service EFL teachers to become teachers.

This study aims to analyze students' interest in learning from the cognitive abilities of class VII SMPN 19 Jambi City. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 6 class VII students of SMP N 25 Jambi City. The research instrument used was a question of students' cognitive tests on ratio material and a questionnaire on students' interest in learning mathematics. Questionnaire distributed via google form. After the researcher carried out the test, then 6 subjects were selected to be the focus of this study who would later be interviewed. The data obtained from the students' cognitive ability tests will be used in the analysis of the learning interests of students who have high, medium or low abilities. The results of the study show that students' excellence in learning in terms of numeracy skills is regulated based on the acquisition of scores in doing skills tests, completing interest in learning, and interviews, indicating that students' excellence in learning science is in the lower grades. This is consistent with in-depth interviews with six subjects representing high, medium and low ability categories. Subjects S1 and S2 are in the high class seen from the acquisition of scores on the cognitive ability test, and are in a very high classification seen from the results obtained from the interest in learning questionnaire. This was reinforced by in-depth interviews, it was found that S1 and S2 subjects really liked learning mathematics, easily understood math material and continued to be actively involved during learning.

Indonesia is one of the countries that depend on fossil-based fuels as a good source of energy. Until now, the portion of fossil energy use has reached more than 80% in the national primary energy mix. From these data, it is clear that dependence on fossil energy in Indonesia is still high. This study aims to describe the knowledge and perceptions of the people of Jambi City about the prospect of using alternative energy sources based on biofuels. And to find out whether there is an influence between knowledge and people's perceptions of Jambi City about the prospect of using biofuel-based alternative energy sources. This study uses the type of mix method. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained are that the community perception value in Jelutung sub-district regarding biofuel-based alternative energy is higher than the community in Pasar Jambi sub-district. People in Pasar Jambi Sub-district have knowledge about alternative energy based on biofuel which is superior to people in Jelutung sub-district
