“…This meta-analysis also included studies of varying ages. Although we examined age as a moderator of analyses, that only two studies examined adolescents (Bilgiç, Yılma, & Hergüner, 2017; Capron, Allan, Ialongo, Leen-Feldner, & Schmidt, 2015) underscores the need for more research with youth. Further, as in any meta-analysis, our findings may have been influenced by publication bias.…”

“…These findings are congruent with a large body of existing literature (Avenevoli et al, 2015; Handley et al, 2018; Hetrick et al, 2012; Serra et al, 2021; Stewart et al, 2019; Xu et al, 2018), though it must be noted that several included studies (Gulec et al, 2010; Hart et al, 2001; Rudd et al, 1996; Seo et al, 2015; Zhang et al, 2016) failed to find statistically associations between these aspects and suicidality. In young people, it is likely that associations between depression severity and suicidality are influenced by psychological factors such as resilience, emotion regulation, and hopelessness (Bilgiç et al, 2017; Bridge et al, 2006; Tamás et al, 2007; Teismann et al, 2018) and psychosocial factors such as social support and negative life events (Esposito and Clum, 2003; Kerr et al, 2006; Siegmann et al, 2018). The interplay of such factors with respect to suicidality in depressed young people warrants further investigation.…”

“…Research has demonstrated that AS may show triggering effects on a variety of psychiatric disorders, such as depression and conversion disorder, or other health conditions, such as skin diseases and cardiac problems. [16][17][18][19] Though several studies have shown the predictor effects of AS on the presence of headache in adults, 20,21 information regarding the link between AS and headache is not consistent in children and adolescents.…”
