Abstract:These studies document certain features of the splenic IgA plaque-forming cell response and the serum IgA antibody content in BALB/c mice following immunization with TNP-BγG. Differences in the magnitude and temporal sequence of the indirect (IgA) and direct (IgM) plaque-forming cell responses have been documented. Following booster immunization, there was a shorter latent period and higher peak level of cells secreting IgA anti-TNP antibodies suggesting an anamnestic response.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
