Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana upaya pembelian jaminan perlindungan hukum bagi para tenaga pendidik profesional dalam menjalankan tugas profesinya oleh organisasi profesi guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama jaminan perlindungan hukum bagi guru belum sepenuhnya diketahui oleh anggota. Kedua, diktum aturan yang ada belum cukup mengikat dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum. Ketiga, kesepakatan organisasi PGRI dengan Kapolri belum sepenuhnya dipahami oleh aparat di bawahnya.

RESUMEN A pesar de que existe un consenso entre los estudiosos respecto de establecer una filiación entre Hume y la filosofía experimental, prevalecen importantes divergencias al momento de determinar el objeto de estudio de la “ciencia de la naturaleza humana,” como así también de establecer las razones que legitiman la aplicación del método experimental a las cuestiones morales y el modo en que lo lleva a cabo. Nos proponemos esclarecer estas tres cuestiones con el fin de precisar en qué sentido debe comprenderse el experimentalismo de Hume. Respecto de la primera, sostenemos que la ciencia de la naturaleza humana no sólo comprende el estudio de la mente, sino que abarca también el de la interacción en el marco de la sociedad a lo largo de la historia. En cuanto a la segunda, consideramos que existe un fundamento ontológico común a los fenómenos morales y naturales, en tanto ambos quedan comprendidos bajo las cuestiones de hecho, lo que habilita la aplicación del mismo método de investigación a los dos. Para echar luz sobre la tercera cuestión, profundizaremos en la centralidad conferida a los hechos, entendidos como eventos epistémicamente relevantes que son procesados mediante la reducción explicativa, Finalmente, ofreceremos algunos ejemplos para mostrar cómo Hume pone en acto el método.

A rival Enlightenment? Critical international theory in historical mode

This article proposes an understanding of critical international theory (CIT) as an historical rather than philosophical mode of knowledge. To excavate this historical mode of theorizing it offers an alternative account of CIT’s intellectual sources. While most accounts of critical international theory tend to focus on inheritances from Kant, Marx and Gramsci, or allude in general terms to debts to the Frankfurt School and the Enlightenment, this is not always the case. Robert Cox, for example, has repeatedly professed intellectual debts to realism and historicism. The argument advanced here builds on Cox by situating CIT in a longer intellectual heritage that extends from Renaissance humanism and passes through Absolutist historiography before reaching Enlightenment civil histories, including Vico’s history of civil institutions. The critical element in this intellectual heritage was the formation of a secular political historicism critically disposed to metaphysical claims based on moral philosophies. By recovering this neglected inheritance of criticism, we can articulate not only a critical theory to rival problem-solving theories, but propose a conception of theory as a historical mode of knowledge that rivals philosophical modes yet remains critical by questioning prevailing intellectual assumptions in International Relations theory.
