The Group in the Individual

Abstract: The author describes his development as a consultant and trainer by sharing some instructive moments in his quest for a deeper understanding of group dynamics. This article chronicles a shift from relying on individual psychology to understand behavior in groups to an appreciation of systemic influences and unconscious dynamics within the group as a whole.
