Flipped classroom has been widely used in many educational institutions to promote student engagement during class time. A consensus from past research suggests that the flipped model generally can produce a higher rate of student engagement. Therefore, teachers who practise the “flip” method should be well equipped to be able to reap the benefits of flipped classroom. This study intends to study teachers’ experience with regard to the challenges and issues of utilising flipped classroom, and their strategies in responding to those challenges. The analysis of results teased out three themes on the challenges faced by the teachers, namely knowledge limitation, student involvement and planning limitations. The teachers’ responses to these challenges are also discussed. This paper concludes with a few recommendations to improve the implementation of flipped classroom in educational institutions.

This paper presents the findings of two design research cycles on learning and teaching different proofs of the Pythagorean theorem in German secondary schools during distance learning in the first research cycle and a flipped classroom in the second research cycle. The study explores students' difficulties when learning proofs in the different scenarios by analyzing students' proof schemes, occurring error patterns, the students' descriptions of their proof comprehension, and evaluations of the learning scenarios. The findings indicate that typical difficulties occur less in the flipped setting, especially for students with a low or average level of prior knowledge. Further analysis of the evaluation of the learning activities suggests that this can be attributed to the implemented adaptations of the learning scenario when changing it from a distance learning setting to a flipped learning setting, in particular, the opportunity to work collaboratively and direct support the teacher. These results have implications regarding the potential of the flipped classroom as a way for educators to integrate instructional approaches they developed during the COVID-19 pandemic into their in-person teaching in the future.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keefektifan model pembelajaran berbasis ISRA di Perguruan Tinggi Umum, survey menunjukkan bahwa indikator moderasi beragama berupa komitmen kebangsaan, Toleransi, Anti kekerasan, dan adaptif kebudayaan lokal� dapat diterapkan pada kurikulum PAI di perguruan Tingggi Umum. Berbagai penelitian model pembelajaran berbasis moderasi beragama yang dilakukan menghasilkan 50 % hasil cukup signifikan, maka penulis mencoba model pembelajaran berbasis ISRA dalam moderasi beragama ternyata hasilnya cukup baik. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Responden data yang� diambil 90 mahasiswa sebagai sampel� dari berbagai perguruan tinggi umum di Jawa Timur, menggunakan hasil uji analisis melalui Cronbach Alpha dan Wilcoxon dengan hasil yang signifikan 0,05% dari data yang diambil maka Penggunaan model ISRA cukup efektif dalam mengimplementasikan moderasi beragama sehingga dapat meningkatkan sikap moderat pada mahasiswa.
