Abstract:In order to better understand the heave observed on the railway roadbed of the French high-speed train (TGV) at Chabrillan in southern France, the swelling behaviour of the involved expansive clayey marl taken from the site by coring was investigated. The aim the study is to analyse the part of heave induced by the soil swelling. First, the swell potential was determined by flooding the soil specimen in an oedometer under its in-situ overburden stress. On the other hand, in order to assess the swell induced by the excavation undertaken during the construction of the railway, a second method was applied. The soil was first loaded to its in situ overburden stress existing before the excavation. It was then flooded and unloaded to its current overburden stress (after the excavation). The swell induced by this unloading was considered. Finally, the experimental results obtained were analyzed, together with the results from other laboratory tests performed previously and the data collected from the field monitoring. This study allowed estimating the heave induced by soil swelling. Subsequently, the part of heave due to landslide could be estimated which corresponds to the difference between the monitored heave and the swelling heave.

“…2.From the view of strain and creep:In the process of construction,different excavation method changed the boundary conditions of surrounding rock stress,which horizontal displacement of full face excavation method are much higher than other three kinds of schemes,and its variable displacement is larger in adjacent construction step.In additional,through researching the creep curve of excavation in 5 days,we can find that the creep variable of full face excavation method is the largest(The time for each step of the excavation is different, but the total time of construction are five days).In the other three 13001-p. 4 excavation method,the subsidence displacement of CD method is larger,it is up to 20 mm.So bench cut method and both side drift method are more appropriate the construction of expansive surrounding rock of the tunnel in the view of strain and creep.…”

Abstract.Selecting the highway tunnel project in GuangXi province as the experimental research object,using Matlab numerical analysis software to analyze the creep data fitting,this essay concludes that the Generalized kelvin model is proper for creep model.Through converting the creep formula of generalized kelvin model with the third creep formula of implicit creep of ANSYS finite element software implicit creep,it determines the creep model parameters.On this basis,by performing numerical simulations in four different construction methods on expansive surrounding rock tunnel,fill-section excavation,CD excavation,bench cut method and double-side-drift method applied,it researches properties of time-varying mechanical.The results shows that the construction mechanics characteristics of expansive surrounding rock tunnel are effected by time.The deformation of surrounding rock is enhanced with the growth of time,but it tends to be stabilized on the fourth day.Excavation ways have an effect on expansive surrounding rock mechanics.The more one-off excavation rock area digs,the more changes in stress,strain and creep change for the expansive surrounding rock.Among the four kinds of excavation methods,double-side-drift method has best stress form and minimum creep variable.

resUmOO conhecimento etnopedológico tem fornecido informações importantes sobre o modo de vida das populações rurais a respeito de suas tradições ancestrais, como a arte de elaborar peças artesanais a partir do barro advindo de solos com características próprias a esse uso. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar física, química e mineralogicamente Planossolos e Gleissolos explorados para a produção de artefatos de cerâmica artesanal em Minas Gerais. Nos barreiros, foram coletados dois perfis de Planossolos (P1 e P2) e um Gleissolo (P3) usados como matéria-prima na produção artesanal de cerâmica. Foram realizadas análises físicas e químicas, limites de liquidez (ll) e plasticidade (lP), índice de plasticidade (iP) e de atividade coloidal (ia), além da mineralogia da fração argila. Os horizontes selecionados pelos ceramistas para a fabricação de cerâmica artesanal (ba, btg e bcg, do P1; btg1 e btg2, do P2; e c2g e c3g, do P3) apresentaram os maiores teores de argila e silte, IP e IA, importantes para a qualidade final da cerâmica. O horizonte Cg do perfil P1 possui potencial de ser utilizado para a produção artesanal, em virtude do seu iP, superior aos dos horizontes normalmente usados, além dos teores de argila, silte e areia fina e suas características mineralógicas. A proporção ideal das frações areia, silte e argila e a porcentagem de matéria orgânica na definição de um bom material para cerâmica são difíceis de estabelecer e variam principalmente em razão de aspectos quantitativos e qualitativos da argila nos solos.
