Therefore, if in order to obtain non-metastatic tumours of the rat stomach it was sufficient only to improve the contact of 20-methylcholanthrene with mucosa, then in order to obtain metastatic tumours, it is perhaps necessary to change the resistance of the mucosa to the oncogenic action of the carcinogen.…”
