Currently, the dairy cow industry's primary goal is to reach maximum indicators in the manufacture of high-quality goods. It is necessary to utilize high-quality animals in breeding and productive qualities to attain this goal. Numerous research and practical works have proven that stud bulls have a major impact on the genetic effect of animal stock correction: proper stud bull selection ensures maximal genetic development in animal production. Animals of the Holstein breed of various selections are used to enhance domestic black-and-white cattle (Canadian, American, Danish, etc.). The article presents the results of the assessment of stud bulls according to the Instructions in force in the Republic of Kazakhstan. As an object of research, information was used on first-calvers (daughters) who lactated in 2016-2017 in the breeding herds of the republican populations of Holstein cattle. In a comparative aspect, the analysis of the results of a study of the breeding qualities of the estimated bulls in the context of different years and in total is carried out. The necessity of applying new approaches to assessing the breeding value of stud bulls in dairy cattle breeding is established.

The research aimed to study the dynamics of changes in the selection and genetic parameters of the body, to determine the relationship between the productive qualities and the exterior of cows in the population of Holsteinized black-and-white and Kholmogory cattle of the Udmurt Republic. Cows with a productivity level of more than 8000 kg of milk for 305 days of lactation had a relatively high indicator of the length of the coxal area (by 2.0 and 2.3%, P<0.05) and the depth of the loin (by 1.3 and 1.5%) with a slight difference in the length of the sacrum. High-productive cows had the smallest average conformation index of the body type (by 3.0%, P<0.05), which is evidence of the proportionality of the body, namely, the optimal ratio of the volume of the trunk to the animal growth. The harmony of bodybuilding is also evidenced by the index of the coxal area, defined as the ratio of the volume of the coxal area to the body length. High-productive cows had a more harmonious body, having the lowest value of this index (by 3.8%, P<0.01). A positive correlation was found between the conformational index of the body (r = +0.26), the index of the coxal area (r = +0.38), and the productive index. The origin of the animals had a definite impact on the level of dairy production. Cows of the wes back ideal line significantly (P<0.01) outperform their mates of the reflection sovereign lines by 693.65 kg (9.9%) and Montvic Chieftainby 827.82 kg (12.1%). The aim of the research was to estimate the breeding value of the servicing bulls of the Holstein black-and-white breed according to the optimized equation of the mixed BLUP model. Within a comparative aspect, the estimation results of bulls calculated using the BLUP methodology are presented. As an object of the research, information was used on first-calf heifers (daughters of the evaluated bulls), who lactated in breeding herds of the Holstein cattle of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016-2017. The source was the official information analytical system (IAS) of livestock breeding of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The analysis of information on the dairy productivity of the cows-daughters of the estimated bulls was performed according to the indicators of the milk yield, the contents of fat and protein in milk, the milk fat and protein yield for 305 days of lactation and the study period.
