The ESA/UPC GNSS-Lab tool (gLAB): An advanced multipurpose package for GNSS data processing

Abstract: Satellite Navigation has become a keystone for the development of Europe and its citizens. It is then essential to provide adequate educational programmes so to ensure a prepared workforce for the GNSS sector in Europe. In this context, ESA has launched a complete Satellite Navigation Educational program, called EDUNAV, aiming at providing upto-date GNSS based educational material and educational tools. The GNSS-Lab (gLAB) Educational Software Tool is part of this ESA EDUNAV initiative. gLAB, developed under E… Show more

“…Each of the stations' position was obtained using the gLAB, an open-source PPP software (Hernandez-Pajares, et al, 2010). The current version does not contain the OTL model and thus it was implemented and added to the package by the authors according to the procedure presented in Section 2.…”

“…Among them are the following: special and general relativity, Sagnac delay, satellite antenna and clock offsets, phase wind-up, solid earth tides, ocean loading, Earth rotation parameters and atmospheric pressure loading (Kouba and Heroux, 2001;Hofmann-Wellenhof et al, 2008). Including the above effects, the observation equations can be defined as follows:…”

“…These tools enable the conversion of GNSSLogger logs to the RINEX v. 3.0 format. Saving data in the RINEX format allows users to analyse observations with commonly used, free programmes such as RTKLib [13] and GLab [14], or commercial software [15].…”
