The electrostatic force and the annihilation of particles and antiparticles

Abstract: Purpose -This study seeks to explain how a cybernetic system, the human brain, creates the cognitive models that are applied by physics to explain particular phenomena of the physical world, namely, the electrostatic force and the annihilation of matter and antimatter. Design/methodology/approach -This study applies findings in cognitive psychology of vision, neuropsychology of the hemispheric mechanisms and quantum mechanics in order to explain how the electrostatic force operates at distance between two char… Show more

“…Moreover, Fidelman (2006a) suggested alternative explanation to that of Dirac, based on CP, to the mutual annihilation of colliding electron and positron and the appearing of one or two photons together with the annihilation. When the electron and positron approach each other and the distance between them approaches zero, the force of attraction increases.…”

“…According to Fidelman (2006a), these two photons are the original electron and positron, that lost their electrostatic force due to its transformation into the momentums of the two approaching particles. Since, according to special relativity, the velocity of the particles that have resting mass larger that zero cannot reach the velocity of light c , when the two particles, that approach each other, obtain the velocity c , their resting mass is transformed into the energy of the frequency of light, and they become photons that have the resting mass zero.…”
