The article discusses the main approaches to the development and use of the task system for the first All-Russian Olympiad in artificial intelligence for schoolchildren. The first Olympiad in artificial intelligence for schoolchildren, held by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, had distinctive features in the procedure of the competition and in competition tasks. These features can be used for comparative analysis and expert evaluation of intellectual competitions for schoolchildren held in Russia. The subjects of the Olympiad tasks are Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Data Science.The Python programming language was used. The tasks were focused on the formation of an individual path for the student to prepare for the final stage of the Olympiad in artificial intelligence, i. e. thematic continuity was observed at all stages and the practical orientation of tasks using data sets was observed in the second and third rounds. For the assessment, a rating assessment was used (as in the professional community Kaggle.com) of the individual abilities of schoolchildren in the complex application of mathematical and digital skills in solving artificial intelligence tasks.The article may be useful for informatics teachers who include the topic in an advanced informatics course and teachers of additional education who prepare schoolchildren for Olympiads in programming.

Today, the need to educate schoolchildren in the field of artificial intelligence is emphasized at the state level. However, issues related to the selection of content and organization of teaching in the field of artificial intelligence to students in basic secondary school are still controversial. Basic general education faces the problem of finding ways to improve teaching methods for schoolchildren in the field of artificial intelligence.The scientifically based implementation in the field of artificial intelligence training at the level of basic general education is associated, firstly, with the development of a model for teaching in the field of artificial intelligence in the conditions of variant school education, secondly, with the identification of approaches to organizing such teaching, thirdly, with the selection and structuring of teaching content in the field of artificial intelligence as part of an informatics course in basic secondary school, fourthly, with the integration of the teaching content in the field of artificial intelligence into various organizational forms of school education. This determined the purpose of the study.As a result of the study, approaches to the formation of the content of variant teaching in the field of artificial intelligence were identified, a model of variant teaching in the field of artificial intelligence at the level of basic general education was created, the principles of implementation of the proposed training model was highlighted, thematic modules for basic and in-depth training in the field of artificial intelligence were identified, educational and methodological materials were developed (theoretical educational material, practical tasks, laboratory work, methodological recommendations, etc.) for variant teaching in the field of artificial intelligence in the basic secondary school. Testing of the educational and methodological materials was carried out at sites in certain educational organizations in Moscow.

The article discusses the relevance of teaching schoolchildren the basics of artifcial intelligence. The importance of chatbots is emphasized as a component of the content of the theme "Fundamentals of artifcial intelligence" for the development of interdisciplinary links of the school course of informatics with other areas of knowledge. The theoretical aspects of teaching schoolchildren the technology of creating chatbots are considered: the characteristics of the basic concepts, historical information, the most common classifcation, the mechanism for processing user requests by the chatbot. Guidelines for teaching the technology of creating a chatbot are proposed. The designers for creating chatbots available for development by schoolchildren are listed. A plan of practical work "Creating a chatbot in the Aimylogic online constructor" is given. In order to illustrate the results of approbation of the educational material under consideration, examples of chatbots are given: a chatbot that talks about various types of algebraic equations; a chatbot — assistant for fractions; a chatbot — consultant on the theme "Algorithm and its properties. Ways of algorithm representation". The presented examples include the structure of the chatbot dialog created in the Aimylogic constructor and in the Pencil Code service.
