The Elderly Voice: Mechanisms, Disorders and Treatment Methods

Abstract: The elderly population is increasing globally. In Turkey, the population aged 65+ is predicted to grow to more than 15% of the whole population by 2050. Just like the rest of the body, the voice also changes with age. Voice changes throughout life have been reported in up to 52.4% of aged individuals and may have a negative impact on their quality of life.
