The Elastic Modulus and Internal Friction of Electrodeposited Copper

Abstract: Experimental techniques and calculations for the determination of elastic modulus and internal friction from sonic measurements on thin‐walled tubes prepared by electrodeposition are described. A method of making the tubes with the necessary precision is presented. Data on the effects of some plating variables are given, but special attention is devoted to relationships between the structures of the deposits and the elastic properties under study.
