The Effect of REACT Model Assisted Fable-Math Book Media on Mathematical Problem Solving Of Elementary School Students

Abstract: This study aims to analyze (1) the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who can achieve the KKM, (2) the proportion of students who can complete classical completeness of 75%, (3) differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities before and after the REACT model assisted by fable-math book media is applied, (4) increasing mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental design trial design in the form of one grou… Show more

“…When students view self-assessment as a test, they tend to prioritize achieving high scores rather than focusing on the process of self-reflection and self-improvement. This perception is supported by the statement of previous study which states that students' self-assessment is often influenced by socio-cultural factors and external pressure to achieve high ratings and scores (Arfiani et al, 2020). These influences can shape students' perceptions of self-assessment and impact the way they evaluate their own work.…”

“…Researchers also found the results of research conducted by Arfiani et al (2020) with the title "Increasing Mathematics Learning Activity and Achievement Through a Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) Approach Assisted by Manipulative Media Class I SDN Karangkobar". The results of this study reveal that besides students being able to solve problems given by the teacher, students also seem to understand the material explained more easily, are more enthusiastic, active, and creative, concentrate more and students are enthusiastic about participating in the learning process (Yulyanisa, Yerizon, & Asmar, 2021).…”

“…First, the RME method is associated with an increase in student learning outcomes. This kind of research has succeeded in providing information about the importance of the real context and the process of constructing mathematical knowledge (Arfiani, Ulya, & Wanabuliandari, 2020). The teacher's efforts in linking mathematics with the real world of students.…”

“…This enables them to think critically and analyze information more effectively. They become adept at identifying the core concepts and applying them to real-life situations, fostering a more holistic understanding of the subject matter (Ahdhianto et al, 2020;Arfiani et al, 2020). The Feynman Technique also promotes self-confidence and motivation among slow learners.…”
