ObjectiveIn the process of college students’ employment, psychological capital, and social support play a vital role.MethodsThis study examined the relationship between career expectation and employment anxiety of Chinese vocational art college students (N = 634). Participants completed the Career Expectation Scale (CES), Employment Anxiety Scale (EAS), Psychological Capital Scale (PCS), and Social Support Scale (SSS).Results(1) Vocational art students’ career expectation has a positive predictive effect on employment anxiety, social support, and psychological capital; Social support and psychological capital have negative predictive effects on employment anxiety. (2) Social support and psychological capital play a significant chain intermediary role between career expectation and employment anxiety, and there is a masking effect.ConclusionThese results are of guiding significance to the improvement of the employment quality of art students in higher vocational colleges and the employment consulting work in colleges.

Through the lens of the conservation of resources (COR) theory and gender-role perspective, this research investigates the effect of work-family conflict (WFC) on positive discipline parenting (PDP) via well-being among working mothers in Indonesian public organizations. A total of 218 mothers who worked in public organizations such as schools and hospitals were selected as participants. All participants had children attending schools from elementary to senior high school. Data were collected online with a three-wave data collection technique and analyzed using IBM SPSS AMOS ver. 26 and Hayes’ PROCESS macro on SPSS ver. 26. The results showed that WFC directly reduced the mothers’ PDP or indirectly lowered their well-being. In Indonesia, mothers are responsible for child-rearing and working in public organizations can cause resource imbalance. Scholars and practitioners should consider the existence of WFC and how it influences working mothers in public organizations. This study is among a few studies investigating WFC’s impact on working mothers’ well-being and parenting.

The rapid growth of the electronics industry in the era of globalization demands the availability of high-quality Human Resources (HR) ready to compete in the job market. Graduates from vocational programs, with a focus on technical skills, play a vital role in supplying the workforce needs in this industry. However, the success of vocational graduates' careers is not solely determined by technical competence. This research aims to analyze psychological capital in assessing the career feasibility of vocational graduates as human resource suppliers in the electronics industry. The approach encompasses an in-depth examination of relevant literature employing qualitative analysis, aiming to gain a comprehensive insight into the topic from 2004 to 2023. The study results indicate that in assessing the career feasibility of vocational graduates as human resource suppliers in the electronics industry, it is essential to emphasize that interpersonal skills, autonomy, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, and leadership abilities play a crucial role. The dynamic electronics industry requires individuals with strong technical skills as well as the ability to adapt, collaborate within teams, and possess good emotional intelligence. Therefore, it is crucial not to solely assess technical qualifications when evaluating vocational graduates. Vocational education should pay more attention to the early development of psychological skills so that graduates are prepared to face various challenges in the ever-evolving professional world.
